1 pound lean ground beef

3 cups cooked red beans
1 big green bell pepper, diced
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups onions, finely chopped
1 to 2 teaspoons chili powder
1 big can tomato sauce
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
2 tablespoons cooking oil

Brown the ground beef in a pan with 1 tablespoon oil until cooked, then set aside.  In the same pan, add one tablespoon oil and brown the chopped onions, then add the garlic and cook for a few minutes.  Add the cooked ground beef and mix together.  Add the beans, bell pepper, and cook for a few more minutes.  Then add the tomato sauce, chili powder, bayleaf, salt and pepper. Mix well.  Add water if necessary. Cook on low heat for about 15 minutes until consistency becomes creamy.
